Hello! My name is Lovely Promise, but you can just call me Lovely.I’m a 28-year-old artist from Oregon who’s deeply passionate about My Little Pony. I’ve been a fan of the series since 2013, and through out the years, the MLP community has felt like a second home, even during the times I stepped away and came back.Over time, I’ve dedicated myself to learning how to capture the magic of the G4 style, doing my best to honor the look and feel that made so many of us fall in love with it in the first place. Lovely was inspired by Flurry Heart, but she’s her own character with her own story. I wanted to take some of the things I loved most. Lovely is more of a "what if" version of her.She’s not meant to be Flurry Heart, she’s her own pony, but the resemblance is a nod to where her roots came from. 💖

Sky Streak was born in the storm-watched cloud village of Thundervale, a high-altitude settlement nestled between two permanent storm belts. In Thundervale, thunder is as common as birdsong, and lightning dances daily across the sky. While most ponies would find such conditions chaotic or even dangerous, Sky grew up seeing it as natural, beautiful even. The ponies of Thundervale are skilled weather-watchers and storm scholars, studying the sky like a living language, and from a young age, Sky Streak was no exception.She was fascinated not just by flight, but by the structure of the storm itself, how lightning followed patterns, how pressure shaped clouds, how wind could be predicted and ridden like a current. She earned her cutie mark, a streak of golden lightning cutting through stylized clouds, during a precision flight display at Thundervale’s annual Sky Festival. Instead of simply racing, she crafted a routine through a series of carefully timed storm bursts, her movements both beautiful and bold, each one in perfect harmony with the weather.Over time, Sky Streak gained recognition not just as a flier, but as a strategic storm tactician. She reads the skies instinctively, using every shift in wind and charge in the air to her advantage. While she’s undeniably fast, her true strength lies in her control and her ability to ride a storm rather than outrun it. This unique approach made her a natural rival to Rainbow Dash, whose raw speed is legendary, but whose methods can sometimes lack the refinement Sky brings to the air.The two have clashed more than once, both trying to outdo the other. Their personalities are wildly different, Sky can be rigid, overly analytical, and has a tendency to over-plan, sometimes letting fear of imperfection slow her down. Rainbow Dash, on the other hoof, flies with instinct and heart, and often challenges Sky to trust her gut more. Though they’ve bickered during training sessions, deep down, they share mutual respect, and neither will admit just how much they’ve learned from each other.Sky Streak dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt, just like Rainbow Dash, but her journey is a slower one. She often doubts whether her meticulous flying style fits with the flashier, more instinct-driven nature of the team. This self-doubt can lead her to pull back at the worst moments, hesitating before a trick, second-guessing herself during evaluations. Still, she trains every day, keeping her eyes on the sky and her wings ready for the call.Outside the circuit, Sky teaches advanced weather choreography to young fliers, keeps journals filled with lightning patterns and cloud formations, and is often found on the edge of a cloud ledge, quietly watching the storm roll in. Her favorite treat is candied mango, and her guilty pleasure is sketching elaborate sky obstacle courses she dreams of mastering one day, if she can just get out of her own head long enough to try.

She’s often seen quietly floating between cloud nurseries with a clipboard in one hoof and a napping Wispup in the other. Though shy around crowds, she lights up when asked about her favorite subjects: cloud types, weather patterns, and of course, the genetics and temperaments of her beloved Wispups.She’s a bit of a cloud nerd, lovingly tracking every weather pattern and keeping detailed journals on the behavior of each pup. Her cloud home is filled with cozy nests, tiny wing-brushing stations, and fluffy paw-printed charts pinned to her walls. Despite her modesty, she’s known across Cloudsdale as the pony to go to if you’re lucky enough to be chosen as a Wispup caretaker.

She doesn't see ghosts or speak to them directly. Instead, she feels their emotional presence: the lingering sorrow in a quiet room, the chill of unspoken regret clinging to an old keepsake, the way certain places seem to breathe with memories long past. Her magic is subtle, intuitive, and often difficult to explain to others, let alone control.She works as a gravekeeper and Soulway Investigator, a title she gave herself after years of uncovering why some spirits linger. Her role isn’t to solve murders or seek vengeance, she doesn’t chase villains or uncover crimes. Instead, she specializes in understanding emotional unrest. A spirit might remain due to an unresolved promise, the pain of being forgotten, or even something as small as a missing farewell. Threnody’s work is more like therapy for the dead, delivered through ritual, empathy, and deep investigation into a life that’s already ended.Her abilities come with strict limits. She can’t force a soul to move on, and sometimes, despite all her effort, they don’t. Her magic is tied to emotion and place, it reacts most strongly to items or locations charged with meaning.
