About Me

Hello! My name is Lovely Promise, but you can just call me Lovely.I’m a 29 year old artist from Oregon who’s very passionate about My Little Pony. I’ve been a fan of the series since 2013, and through out the years, the MLP community has felt like a second home.Over time, I’ve dedicated myself to learning how to capture the magic of the G4 style, doing my best to honor the look and feel that made so many of us fall in love with it in the first place. Why do i look like flurry heart?

Lovely was inspired by Flurry Heart, but she’s her own character with her own story. I wanted to take some of the things I loved most. Lovely is more of a "what if" version of her.She’s not meant to be Flurry Heart, she’s her own pony, but the resemblance is a nod to where her roots came from. 💖

Who Guides the Shepard

Who Guides the Shepherd is a fanfiction about Abel’s reluctant rise as Heaven’s chosen leader during a brewing war between Heaven and Hell.After Adam’s death, Abel is abruptly placed in command of Heaven’s army, a role rooted in politics and violence that clashes deeply with his nature as a mediator who believes understanding should come before judgment. As fear spreads through Heaven, tensions escalate further when Sir Pentious arrives, triggering a trial that raises terrifying questions about how a sinner could reach Heaven at all.Paranoia takes hold. Convinced Hell is preparing for war, the council demands action. If Abel fails to secure peace with the Morningstars, Heaven’s solution is to free Cain, his brother and murderer, and replace Abel as the army’s leader.Caught between faith, family, and a role he never wanted, Abel must prove that leadership doesn’t have to be cruel… while questioning the truth of his past and whether he was ever meant to be a shepherd at all.

✨ Cancelations ✨♡ I reserve the right to decline or cancel a commission if it, or the client, makes me uncomfortable. As a small business, I will not tolerate unprofessional behavior.♡ If I haven't started on your commission, I will send back a full refund.♡ If I have already started, I will send you all the WIPs from that point onward. Depending on the progress of the commission, I will issue a partial refund based on how much work has been completed.

If you’re uncomfortable with your artwork being shared on Twitter due to concerns about the platform, please let me know at any point during the commission process. I’m happy to accommodate by cropping the artwork, adding filters, or directing viewers to a platform like BlueSky to ensure your characters and creations are handled with care.♡ If you ever have any questions regarding commissions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me! ✨ Edits & Updates ✨♡ I will always inform you personally when I am starting on your commission. If you haven't received this personal message from me, it means I have not started.♡ You can always see where you are in the queue and what I'm currently working on through Trello.♡ For non-SKEB orders (minimal back-and-forth communication), feel free to request updates at any time. I’m always happy to share progress.♡ I offer 2-3 edits per piece after WIP has been approved, excluding corrections for missed details in your references. (This includes hairstyles, colors, clothing, or items). Violet Skies is an wonderful source of MLP knowledge and a guiding voice in the development of New Dawn of Harmony. Having loved the series since childhood, she’s developed a deep and expansive understanding of the My Little Pony universe. Spanning the shows, comics, and fan works alike, her encyclopedic knowledge makes her a go to resource for continuity, lore accuracy, and character integrity. But Violet is more than just a lore experts, she’s also a gifted storyteller, writer, and idea generator. Her creative contributions help guide the narrative in ways that honor the heart of the original series while introducing fresh, imaginative twists. Her presence is essential in shaping both the tone and flow of the entire project.

✦ What Media? ✦

We’ve been exploring a few different release options, including platforms like YouTube, but we are currently leaning toward launching the series on our own dedicated website. This would allow us to host episodes directly while using platforms like YouTube for promotional content. It also helps us avoid certain restrictions that can come with hosting a series originally based on a children’s series.

✦ When will it release? ✦

We officially entered production on the first two episodes at the beginning of 2026, and we’re currently aiming for a 2027 release. Our hope is to premiere early in the year, but that timeline may shift depending on production needs. We’ll continue to share updates as we get closer to a more confirmed release date.

✦ Series Length ✦

We’re still in the editorial and concept phases for many of the long-term storylines, but our current goal is to aim for around nine seasons, similar to the original series. That said, we have a bit more flexibility with our format and can include more episodes per season and integrate larger story elements like the 2017 movie and Equestria Girls into the overall narrative. As development continues, the exact length may evolve, and we’ll share updates as plans become more defined.

✦ NDOH vs Canon? ✦

NDOH follows a parallel path to the original series, keeping familiar characters, locations, and core ideas while taking the story in a new direction. Rather than reimagining the show episode by episode, we’re reshaping the entire narrative arc as a whole, putting together select canon-inspired moments with completely original storylines.This approach allows for deeper character development, more complex conflicts, and expanded worldbuilding. While certain events, lore, and relationships may begin in familiar settings, they will evolve differently over time. This also means we have the ability to add new characters, new locations, and the introduction of ponies from other generations, all put together into the story in a new way.

✦ Equestria Girls? ✦

Yes! As mentioned before, Equestria Girls will be incorporated into the main story rather than as a separate storyline. The direction will be quite different with this version and will not take place in a high school setting. Spike will also be a human instead of a dog, and the overall narrative surrounding this part of the world will be significantly changed to better fit this series we are writing.

✦ Different Characters? ✦

In NDOH, the characters are essentially new versions within familiar faces. They still carry the core vibes, tone, and recognizable traits of their original counterparts, but they’ve been adjusted to fit a different story, world, and set of experiences. For example, Rarity has been changed from the Element of Generosity to the Element of Inspiration, reflecting a different focus in her character and how she impacts others.This approach also influenced how we cast our voice actors. We aren’t looking for exact imitations, but rather subtle new interpretations and performances that still feel true to the characters while bringing something unique to this version of the story. We want actors who can bring more than just a good voice, people who can truly build upon and grow with this new version of the characters.

✦ Reference to prior generations? ✦

Yes! We do plan to include references to earlier generations, and even bring some of those characters into the G4 world, one example being Minty. However, we won’t be introducing humans into the main Equestrian world like they have been previously.

✦ Are villains returning? ✦

Yes! We plan to include many of the original villains, from Nightmare Moon all the way to Grogar. However, they won’t be exactly the same and each will be reimagined to better fit the story we’re telling. Alongside them, we’ll also be introducing new villains and antagonists. As for redemption, it will vary! Some characters may be redeemed, while others may not be, depending on what best serves the narrative.

✦ Other Species? ✦

Yes! Other species will absolutely be part of NDOH. We plan to include many familiar creatures from the original series, but with more depth and integration into the world. Rather than appearing briefly or feeling sidelined, different species will have their own roles, cultures, and impact on the story, making the world feel more interconnected and alive. We’ll also be exploring the world more politically, showing how different nations and species interact, ally, and conflict with one another.

✦ Shipping & Relationships? ✦

Relationships will be a part of NDOH, but they won’t be the main focus of the story. Our goal is to explore connections, both platonic and romantic, in a way that feels natural and earned over time. Some familiar dynamics may be present, but they won’t always play out the same way as in canon.We also want to emphasize that relationships, especially friendships, are complex and evolving. Not every connection will be perfect, and not every pairing will be permanent. Ultimately, any romantic elements will serve the characters’ growth and the overall story, rather than exist just for the sake of shipping.Also, the NDOH Family Tree's from Lovinglypromise's Deviant Art are NOT CANON to NDOH!

✦ Real World Cultures? ✦

Some locations and cultures in NDOH may draw inspiration from real-world cultures. When we do this, our goal is to approach it thoughtfully and respectfully, focusing on creating something inspired.

We do not pre-cast or hold closed auditions, everything is done openly so everyone has a fair chance to be involved and potentially become a voice for these characters or contribute to the project.

LovelyVT is the furry version of me, originally created for my Twitch streaming era before I fully moved into more pony-centric content.She’s a cheerful little corgi with a love for roses, blending softness, energy, and charm into one character. She represents my playful side, the part of me that enjoys connecting with others, being expressive, and having fun in creative spaces. Even though I don’t use her as often now, she’s still an important piece of my online identity and a character I’m really fond of.

Leafy

This is Leafy, who comes from a species called Leafkins. Leafkins are tiny, adorable creatures inspired by flowers and leaves. They are botanical little companions with big personality packed into their tiny forms. Leafy adds a whimsical, fantasy touch to LovelyVT’s world, almost like a living sprout who follows her around, curious and affectionate.

Lovely Promise is the middle child of Queen Cadance and Shining Armor, and a princess of the Crystal Empire. Though born into royalty, she is naturally introverted and finds peace in quiet moments, often retreating into books or diving into deep studies, much like her Aunt Twilight.She is deeply empathetic, with a strong desire to truly understand others and build meaningful connections through emotional safety and validation. Lovely believes that everyone has the potential to grow and change, no matter where they come from.Her cutie mark reflects this personal vow: a promise to protect those she cares about, emotionally and physically, with unwavering compassion and strength.
